ValueForum.com was created by Ticker Technologies following the popularity of its BankInvestor.com Web site (a site devoted to investor discussion of after-market bank investing opportunities). ValueForum.com was launched in November of 2003 and caters to value and income investors. It revolves around members sharing their opinions, questions, advice and ideas with each other.

The Discussion Forum displays the most recent posts by members. This site boasts over 100 different discussion topics at any time. Members can make their posts public for all members to read or have the option of making a post private for only a specific group of members. The Discussion Forum page can also be customized to show only topics of interest. Additionally, members are encouraged to give positive and negative feedback on the message board posts. ValueForum.com also has a Coffee Shop section for discussions outside the investment universe.

A Ratings & Contests section asks members to rate stocks, from strong buy to strong sell, and pools the ratings into an easy to read chart. The chart tallies the total number of members choosing each rating and calculates the percentage as well. It also breaks out which ratings were made within the last three months. Members can explain their reasoning behind a rating via a message post under the chart.

ValueForum.com allows members to create their own questionnaires and poll members for their opinions. Current stock price and performance data is also available. Membership costs $149.99 per year. A 24-hour trial period is available for $4.99.
